Day 1: Self-Leadership Agility & Catalyst Conversations

This day kicks off with a historical perspective of human development and leadership from the nomadic, agricultural, industrial and current creative societies. We introduce the Leadership Agility Maturity Model of expert, achiever and catalyst leadership to foster self-awareness of our own leadership maturity and to discover more agile thinking and behaviors. We explore the mindset and behaviors of leaders at these varying maturity levels to self-reflect on leadership traits in ourselves and others who lead us.

Finally, we practice a simple 5-step catalyst conversation technique to positively impact every aspect of our work (and personal) life. These techniques guide leaders in BEING agile over DOING Agile.

Day 2: Guiding and Growing Organizational Agility

This day re-orients the leader towards the organization and the focus of their work. Expanding upon the mindset and behaviors of the agile leader from day 1, we explore the organizational contexts of culture, structures and change to foster organizational delivery and agility. Two key focal points for the leader include improving the value delivery capability and improving the organizational learning capability.

Best Certified Agile Leadership Workshop is for leaders and coaches in an agile organization and external consultants who guide agile leaders and organizations. Both roles are critical for growing and sustaining agile maturity and a mix of participants in the same workshop enhance the learning environment. This includes organizational leaders at any level, project and process leaders, human resource and change management leaders, and agile coaches and trainers. This class assumes awareness and high-level understanding of core Agile principles and Scrum practices, but does not require them as a pre-requisite.

  • Streamlining the leaders’ focus and influence on the health and culture of an organization for a positive  performance oriented impact 
  • Evaluate case studies of real organizations of different organizational cultures applying agile structures and patterns to drive effective and sustaining change with positive results. Reflect and share leader’s organizational cultures and structures in comparison to these case studies. 
  • Practice a 5-step organizational change model to guide healthy, engaged and sustained change needed in our organizations.

What is the difference between CAL-1 and PAL-E training?

The CAL Level 1 is by Scrum Alliance and PAL-E is by

There is no exam for CAL-1 however for PAl-E you will have to clear the exam by achieving 85% score. Both trainings are creating agile leaders and it would be helpful to gain both the perspectives in your AGILE leadership journey

What is next to CAL1?

The CAL credential Level 1 is a prerequisite for the CAL credential Level 2, which furthers your education and practice in agile. It will enable you to apply and share your agile leadership learning across a network of agile leaders across the world.

What are the pre-requisites for this workshop?

There are no prerequisites for this course and any professional who wants to go further on their agile leadership journey can undertake this workshop.

Certified Agile Leadership I certification is given from Scrum Alliance. After completion of the workshop we will register you with Scrum Alliance, post getting login on your email id you can download your CAL-1 certificate.

Is the certification fee different?

The certification fee is included in the workshop fee.

Can I take a virtual/online course for CAL-1?

Currently CAL-1 is a 2-day face to face workshop.

What are PDUs/SEUs?

Project Management Institute (PMI) uses the term PDU’s (Professional Development Units) for education credit to renew PMI certifications.

How many PDUs/SEUs will I achieve?

You will get 14 PDUs and SEUs.

Where are PDUs and SEUs available?

PDUs and SEUs are credits awarded by the Project Management Institute and the Scrum Alliance respectively. They recognize your dedication to the Project Management and Agile world via the award of credits for every educational effort you make in your career path. At present, Scrum Alliance members who hold a Certified Scrum Professional®, Certified Enterprise Coach and/or Certified Scrum Trainer credential need to earn SEUs to get recertified. Every PMI® certification, except the CAPM®, requires you to earn a specific number of PDUs per three-year certification cycle.

What is the validity of the certification?

The CAL I credential does not expire.
